SketchMail for SimpleMail

== Overview ==

SketchMail is a kind of plug-in for SimpleMail and can send sketch image to PCs.

Most Newton mailer can send sketch image to another Newton, but can not send to PC.

SketchMail will convert sketch images into GIF data so that PC mailer can recognize them.

Also with SketchMail, you can use 4 colors out of 6 colors at the same time.

== What you need ==

NewtonOS2.0 or later with internet environment.

SimpleMail3.3 or SimpleMail3.3-NTE

== My test environment ==

MP2K and SimpleMail3.3　→　MacOS8.5 w/OutLookExpress4.5

== Functions ==

　１．Functions

・Note Sketch image --> GIF data

・Select width and color of line.

・Send to PC or to Newton

・Prefs available

where "Sketch image" means Sketches or Shapes in Notepad.

　1-2　Select width and color of line

You can select line width, 1 pts thru 4 pts, using "Styles".

You can assume these pens to:

1pts, 2pts, 3pts or 4pts

Black,Blue,Red,Violet,Green,SkyBlue or Yellow

(You can use 4 colors at the same time)

　1-3　Send to PC or to Newton

SimpleMail itself has an ability to send sketches to another Newton. SketchMail can send GIF data to PCs, but can not recognize received GIF.

So, if you send sketches to another Newton, you do not have to use SketchMail.

　1-4　SketchMail Prefs

I/O Box --> "i" --> "SketchMail prefs"

You can also open this prefs using status button of Notes. "SketchMail Prefs button.pkg" available.

Convert 1pts line into 1pts black, 2pts line into 2pts blueand 3pts line into 2pts green.

== Usage ==

It's so simple:

・Draw sketch into Notes

・Routin menu --> mail

・Uncheck "Text Only"

・Send mail

You can not send huge notes. It will take long time. Largest note shown below:
